JANESVILLE, Wis. -- Janesville declared a winter weather emergency beginning at 2 a.m. on Sunday.

A winter weather emergency means all parked vehicles must be removed from city streets until snow and ice control operations are complete.

Residents are asked to move their vehicles prior to 2 a.m. on Sunday, until 8 a.m. on Monday.

Snow accumulations of 2 – 4 inches are forecast to begin in the nighttime hours on Saturday through Sunday morning. City crews will maintain main and arterial streets throughout the duration of the snowfall, while all other streets will be plowed after the snowfall is complete.
