JANESVILLE, Wis. (WKOW) — The City of Janesville has declared a winter weather emergency starting at 2 a.m. on Sunday.

Residents must move all parked vehicles from city streets to avoid parking tickets.

The winter weather emergency will remain in effect until 8 a.m. on Monday. During this period, snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected from Saturday night through Sunday morning.

Other streets will be plowed once the snowfall is complete. All vehicles must be removed from city streets to ensure effective snow and ice removal. Operations crews will be on route maintaining roads, but snow-covered conditions may persist during heavy snowfall periods. Residents are encouraged to park in garages or driveways.

If not possible, parking is allowed in municipal lots such as East Wall St
