A man died in a car crash in North Portland on Friday evening.

Officers arrived at the crash site on North Columbia Boulevard near Hurst Avenue at about 7:20 p.m., the Portland Police Bureau said in a statement. They found the victim dead.

Two other drivers remained at the scene, police said.

The identity of the man who died has not been released. Police are investigating the crash.

This was the 41 st traffic death in Portland this year, according to police. The city had 58 traffic fatalities in 2024, a decrease from 69 the year before that.
