A serious crash involving multiple vehicles unfolded in Southeast Houston after a man reportedly fired shots and stole somebody’s car. Officials tell KPRC 2 that there is a possible fatality.

The incident was reported shortly before 8:30 a.m. Friday morning. The crash happened at 8101 Park Place Boulevard, near the Gulf Freeway.

After the crash happened, one of the drivers involved reportedly got out of his car, pulled out a gun and began firing shots. He then carjacked a nearby car and fled the scene.

The suspect was then apprehended by police. Authorities confirmed he is now in custody.

Officials tell KPRC 2 that there has been a possible fatality associated with either the wreck or the subsequent shooting. We are working to gather more details.
