For someone as well-travelled as Wayne Gretzky, he’s not exactly the Great One when it comes to pronouncing names.

On Friday, the Hockey Hall of Famer was one of four sports legends — including Tom Brady, Shaquille O’Neal and Aaron Judge — to draw the names of countries participating in the 2026 World Cup.

However, as Gretzky read out the names, he seemed to mispronounce some of them.

The Great One announced Jordan as “Jor-dan”, instead of its correct pronunciation, “jore-don.”
