Ontario Provincial Police say a woman was seriously injured after a school bus full of students collided with her broken down car on the Burlington Skyway on Wednesday night.
Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says the woman’s car was blocking a live lane of the Queen Elizabeth Way when the approaching bus carrying 36 students and three teachers struck the vehicle.
The vehicle, in turn, struck the 61-year-old woman who was standing outside the car.
She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police say none of the occupants of the school bus were injured.
OPP say several lanes of the skyway were closed for the investigation but they have since reopened.
