The Boston Red Sox have already made two substantial additions to their starting rotation — but they might not be done.
Michael King has drawn interest from the Red Sox, New York Mets, Detroit Tigers this offseason, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post — who noted other teams have been in the mix.
King, 30, has been incredibly consistent when healthy, combining to finish with a 2.91 ERA across each of the last four seasons split between the New York Yankees and San Diego Padres — in which he slowly transformed from one of the better relievers in baseball to a dominant starter that finished seventh in National League Cy Young Award voting in 2024.
Sonny Gray and Johan Oviedo, of course, have already been acquired via trades with the St. Louis Cardinals and Pittsburgh Pirate
