Joy to the world! The season of Christmas music is here!
In the coming month, we will all hear Christmas music everywhere we go — at the grocery store, at the hardware store, at the shoe store and pet store and dispensary store. The jingle bells, the silver bells, the carol of the bells, all will ring merrily within our heads, seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day (for even in sleep, we’ll be dreaming of a White Christmas). It will span that first “Last Christmas” on the shocking date of Sept. 29 to the last “First Noel” on Boxing Day, suddenly sounding so inappropriate. And do you know what? It’s great.
