Two Coastal Bend high school football teams have survived to the UIL state semifinals.

Refugio (13-0) knocked off Mason 27-13 in the Class 2A Division I regional final to punch its ticket while Sinton (13-1) outlasted district rival Cuero with a last-second field goal from Blake Bordelon to earn a 45-42 win in the Class 4A Division II regional final.

Both the Bobcats and Pirates are one win away from playing for a state championship in AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Who will they face?

Refugio will take on Joaquin . The Rams (10-4) finished 6-4 in the regular season but have put together an impressive run in the playoffs, beating Centerville, Honey Grove, Elysian Fields and San Augustine by an average margin of 48-18.

Joaquin is in the state semifinals for the second straight season.
