CLEVELAND, Ohio — Saint Louis erased a two-goal halftime deficit to defeat Akron, 3-2, on Saturday in the NCAA Division III quarterfinals at FirstEnergy Stadium in Akron.

Akron controlled the first half, with Jack Roman opening the scoring at 3:05 from 15 yards. Roman’s sixth goal of the season came off assists from Stefan Dobrijevic and Ashton Kamdem. Matt Dreas extended the lead to 2-0 at 37:46, converting a corner kick with an assist from Tyler Morck for his first goal of the season.

The Zips held 58% possession in the opening half and outshot Saint Louis 6-1. Saint Louis goalkeeper Jeremi Abonnel kept his team within striking distance by saving a penalty kick from Dobrijevic at 25:59.
