The Toronto Blue Jays watched Bo Bichette have a bounce-back season after struggling in 2024, but he is now a free agent with seemingly plenty of suitors.

Bichette is not a great defensive shortstop, but his bat makes up for that. However, his shortcomings on defense have opened the door for a position change, extending his market beyond teams that have a hole at shortstop. Teams could be looking at him to play second or third base as well.

With many teams trying to land him, the Blue Jays will have to make a great offer to keep him. However, there is one team the Toronto Blue Jays do not have to worry about outbidding: The Baltimore Orioles. The Athletic's Will Sammon and Ken Rosenthal reported that the Orioles are not pursuing Bichette.
