Alabama was held to minus-3 rushing yards in Saturday’s 28-7 SEC championship game loss to Georgia, the second worst total in program history.

The Crimson Tide totaled minus-45 yards in its 35-10 loss to Missouri in the 1968 Gator Bowl, though bowl statistics were not counted in the official records until 2002. Alabama managed just 23 total yards in that game, in which its only touchdown came on an interception return.

Alabama’s longest run on Saturday went for just five yards. Daniel Hill “led the way” with 11 yards on five carries.

Quarterback Ty Simpson netted minus-28 yards on six carries, with three sacks for minus-23 yards accounting for most of that deficit. His longest run was for one yard.
