A stalled front south of Eastern North Carolina and a passing coastal low are keeping our weather cold, cloudy, and damp through tonight and Saturday, with steady rain tapering to drizzle, mist, and fog. Highs Saturday only reach the mid–upper 40s under stubborn low stratus. A brief break arrives Sunday with dry conditions and highs in the 50s. Another system moves through Monday with rain and falling temperatures; a brief rain/snow mix is possible late day with no accumulation expected. Dry, seasonably cold weather returns Tuesday through Thursday, with another chance of rain by Friday.
