EASTERN CAROLINA, N.C. (WITN) - While it may be more than a month now that Craven County murder suspect Dominic Connelly has been on the run, we know from past manhunts, they can have many twists and turns and surprises.

Along Highway 43 in a heavily wooded area of Vanceboro is the last place the Craven County Sheriff’s Office says Connelly was confirmed to have been alive and hiding out back on November 4th.

The belief that he’s left the area is of little comfort to some in the Vanceboro area, like Shaqueta Allen. She says, “It’s pretty scary because we don’t know where he is. My daughter, she goes to Farm Life, and I’m pretty nervous about that.”

Another resident, Mike Noriega, says the feeling from people is, “They’re still on edge. My wife’s on edge. It’s a concern. I’m concerned.”
