Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has reaffirmed its long-term vision of operating 15 fully functional airports across the state by 2047, as part of the Vikshit Odisha 2036–47 roadmap, officials announced after the 4th Meeting of the High Power Committee on Aviation held on Saturday.

These airports would significantly elevate Odisha’s regional, domestic, and international air linkages, they added. ADVERTISEMENT

The meeting, which was chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, also underscored the need for a dedicated policy to promote the establishment of Flight Training Organisations (FTOs) in Odisha, aimed at developing a strong talent pool for the aviation industry.
