Star Indian top-order batter Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored an unbeaten century (116) for Team India in the third ODI against South Africa on Saturday (December 6), will play for Mumbai in the Super League matches of the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The Super League matches, as well as the final of SMAT 2025, will be played from December 12 to 18 in Pune. According to a report in Cricbuzz on Sunday, the 23-year-old left-handed batter, who last played a T20I match for India in July 2024 against Sri Lanka, has “given his consent" to play for the defending champions in the ongoing premier domestic T20 tournament.
“He has made himself available for the SMAT campaign in the super league," a top Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) official was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz on Sunday (December 7).
