Police have confirmed that a body has been discovered on a beach in Fraserburgh, Scotland, during the search for a missing man. Emergency services received a report at approximately 10.05am on Sunday, 7 December, leading to the recovery of the body.

The deceased has not yet been formally identified, but the family of Peter Wilson, a 60-year-old man who was reported missing from the area, has been notified. Wilson was last seen on 29 November at around 9.15pm on Seaforth Street, heading south towards The Links. His disappearance was described by police as out of character, prompting them to release CCTV footage and advise locals to check their garden sheds and outbuildings.

Police Scotland stated, "Around 10.05am on Sunday, 7 December, we received a report of a body found on the beach at Fraserburgh. Emergency services attended and the body of a man was recovered. Formal identification has yet to take place but the family of Peter Wilson, reported missing from the area, has been informed. The death is being treated as unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
