CHARLESTON — Police arrested a College of Charleston Department of Public Safety officer this weekend.
Robert Thomas Arnett, 34, was booked into the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center on Dec. 6. He’s charged with misconduct in office and assault with intent to commit first-degree criminal sexual conduct, jail records show.
The details surrounding his arrest were not immediately clear. The Post and Courier has requested the incident reports and arrest warrant affidavits associated with the cases.
Arnett was denied bond on both charges, Dec. 7 jail records show. He remains in custody. If convicted of the assault charge, he could face a maximum of 30 years in prison.
