A heartbreaking situation has unfolded for Tripura as the mortal remains of Dr. Saptarshi, the young intern doctor who tragically died in a road accident in Delhi- Lakhnau Road, are being brought back to the state by ambulance at the cost of more than one lakh rupees after days of failed attempts to transport his body by air.

Following the sudden and continuous wave of Indigo flight cancellations across the country, all efforts by the grieving family to bring their son’s body to Agartala were repeatedly disrupted. Despite a few flights operating between Delhi and Agartala during the crisis, no assistance was provided to ensure the deceased doctor’s final journey home. The family also received no support from the Tripura administration, leaving them helpless in an already unbearable moment
