COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) - The College Station Rotary Club’s Clothing for Kids event celebrated its 35th year.

This year, over 100 children registered, and 90 volunteers helped families prepare for the holidays by shopping for new clothes.

The event provides children and their families with $150 to spend at Target. Bob Brick has volunteered with the event for almost 20 years, and he said this initiative creates an opportunity for children to have gifts ahead of the holidays.

“Clothing for kids’ event is where we find needy families in town with children and we provide them $150 in shopping for clothing at the Target store here in College Station to have new clothes before Christmas,” Brick said.
