BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - A Navasota man is back in police custody after being indited on murder charges.

Eric Davis was indited on December 3 for a 2020 murder after shooting and killing Rodrick Ray Morrison.

According to Bryan PD records, three days after the indictment, Davis had knowingly removed an electronic monitoring device despite it being a condition of his bail. Davis reportedly told police that he had cut the monitor off.

As Davis was taken into custody, he said that an official had told him that he could cut the monitor off. However, arresting officers could not find any record of court orders to remove the electronic device.
