KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Clouds continue to build tonight with rain moving in during the overnight hours. Temperatures remain steady with most areas in the upper 30s. Winds will be light and variable.

MONDAY: Scattered showers will continue through the morning hours as temperatures set in the low 40s. In the higher elevations across the mountains, a few showers will transition into light snow showers during the morning as well. Rain will slowly begin to clear out heading into the afternoon with snow showers lingering until the evening.

Outside of the rain, it will be pretty cold all day long. Temperatures will stay in the low 40s through the afternoon and quickly tumble into the 30s after sunset.
