PLYMOUTH, N.H. (WCAX) - Plymouth State University students held their ninth annual Teddy Bear Toss event to benefit Dartmouth Health Children’s Services and the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.
Nine-year-old Lillian Kelley, a former patient, dropped the puck at the women’s game. Thirteen-year-old Keir McIntire, who had open heart surgery as a baby, did the same at the men’s game.
Fans threw new stuffed animals onto the ice after Plymouth State scored its first goal in each game.
Over the years, this event has donated more than 12,300 stuffed animals to pediatric patients. The latest donations will be delivered to the children’s hospital on Wednesday, December 10.
