PORTALES, N.M. (KFDA) - Both Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds’ basketball teams have been having great seasons so far, looking to continue the success in Lone Star Conference play.
The women’s team went into halftime with a strong lead, but the Oklahoma Christian Lady Eagles battled back in the third quarter.
The Greyhounds kept their lead, winning the contest 63-50.
ENMU had two scorers in double-digits: Nataya Lockett (16) and Julieta Ceja (15).
As a team, they recorded 36 rebounds, nine assists and 11 steals, shooting 32.8% from the field, 23.8% from three, and 71.4% from the line.
They are now 2-0 in conference play and will be back in action Thursday, facing UT Dallas on the road at 4:30 p.m. MST/5:30 p.m. CST.
The men’s team played right after, getting the 80-59 win over the Eagle
