ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. —

A cherished Christmas tradition is back in Elizabethtown. The beloved Santa House has returned to Walker Square, and families spent the day lining up to relive the magic.

The city first introduced the Santa House in the early 1960s, and now it’s back as a gift to the community.

“I love to take the opportunity to leave my workshop, fly down here and make a very special visit every year," Santa Claus said.

Families were greeted by Mrs. Claus before stepping into the cozy little house, where children whispered their Christmas wishes to Santa and posed for free photos.

“We wanted to get them out and be together as a family. It was very important for us to spend as much time as we can together,” said Christopher Cowell, who is stationed at Fort Knox.
