FRANKFORT, Ky. —

The Franklin County Coroner's Office has identified the victim killed after a shooting at Kentucky State University on Tuesday.

Frankfort police responded to KSU around 3:35 p.m. about an active aggressor.

Shortly after, police said one person was fatally shot and another was sent to the hospital in critical condition.

Coroners identified the victim as 19-year-old De'Jon Darrell Fox Jr., of Indianapolis. Fox was a student at KSU. He was pronounced dead at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

KSU president Koffi Akakpo said, as of Wednesday, the other student is still in critical condition and will be going into surgery again.
