Odisha Vigilance has booked 20 police officers in the past one and a half years, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi informed the Assembly in a written reply.
According to the data, Vigilance registered cases against 271 government employees across departments during this period. Out of these, 174 officials were convicted in Vigilance courts, while 33 were dismissed from service.
Additionally, pensions of 65 government employees were stopped following corruption charges. The Chief Minister highlighted that the Vigilance wing continues to intensify its crackdown on graft and misconduct.
