Lewis Cope received a touching message of encouragement from his girlfriend following his apology after his final Strictly Come Dancing routine.

The soap star, recognised for his role as Nicky Milligan on ITV's Emmerdale, was caught whispering 'sorry' to dance partner Katya Jones following their quarter-final performance on the BBC One competition programme on Saturday evening (December 6). It came ahead of Sunday's results show which saw Lewis eliminated from the competition .
