Rienk Mast scored 20 points as Nebraska extended the nation's longest active win streak by defeating in-state rival Creighton 71-50 in a nonconference game on Sunday afternoon in Lincoln, Neb.
The Cornhuskers (9-0) have won 13 in a row dating back to last season, one off the school's longest win streak set in 1990-91. Nebraska is also one win from tying the best start in school history when it began 10-0 in 1977-78.
Mast was 6 of 12 from the field and 3-for-5 on 3-point attempts for his fourth 20-point game of the season. Sam Hoiberg, the son of Nebraska head coach Fred Hoiberg, had 15 points and five assists while Berke Buyuktuncel had 13 rebounds.
