Miami Dolphins running back De’Von Achane suffered a rib injury in the team’s win over the New York Jets and is questionable to play next week. Head coach Mike McDaniel said that Achane could have returned in an emergency purpose and they will see if he can play next week.
Achane is the star running back for the Dolphins and the engine of their offense. He has 1034 rushing yards this season, but if he could not play, it would be a huge blow to the Dolphins.
“He was hurting, but he was available to come back in the game in an emergency,” McDaniel said. “You worry about breaks -- that takes time. Didn’t see that, but he will be getting treatment. He was available to come back in the game. I just chose not to put him in.”
The Dolphins ill do more testing to see if he has to miss the tea
