NEWBERRY, S.C. (WIS) - One person was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Newberry County over the weekend.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol said the wreck happened at around 6:20 p.m. Sunday on State Park Road in Prosperity when a 2019 Toyota SUV hit a pedestrian in the road.

Troopers added that the pedestrian died at the scene.
