WABASHA COUNTY, Minn. – A Sunday night crash sent a Rochester man to the hospital.

It happened just after 10:30 pm in Pepin Township in Wabasha County. The Minnesota State Patrol says Lucas Arruda Olson, 20, was driving a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee south on Highway 61 when he went off the road near mile marker 65 and went into the ditch.

The State Patrol says road conditions were snowy and icy at the time of the crash.

Olson suffered what are described as non-life threatening injuries and was taken to a Wabasha hospital for treatment.

The Wabasha County Sheriff’s Office, Wabasha Fire Department, and Wabasha Ambulance assisted at the scene.
