MECOSTA COUNTY, MI – A woman was airlifted to a Grand Rapids hospital on Sunday, Dec. 7, after she was ejected from a vehicle in a rollover crash on U.S. 131.
Three others suffered serious injuries.
The crash was reported at 10:37 p.m. Sunday on northbound U.S. 131, west of Big Rapids in Mecosta County’s Aetna Township.
Mecosta County sheriff’s deputies responded after an iPhone crash-detection alert. Deputies found a sport utility vehicle overturned in a ditch. The SUV rolled several times before it came to a stop against a tree, police said.
A 51-year-old Mancelona woman was ejected from the vehicle. Three men, also from Mancelona in Antrim County, freed themselves through a sunroof.
