MUSKEGON, MI – Police have detained a “person of interest” in a shooting that killed two people and injured three others, including a child, Saturday in Muskegon.
An “altercation” happened within the home Dec. 6 on Jackson Avenue near McLaren Street, resulting in gunfire, Muskegon police reported in a Sunday night statement.
Information suggests the shooting might have been connected to a robbery and, preliminarily, it indicates the occupants knew the people who entered the home, police said.
Authorities did not release any other information about the detained person.
Investigators are confident “those responsible for this tragedy will be identified,” police reported.
