Jets fans who have been wondering why rookie quarterback Brady Cook hadn’t played yet this year, despite the team’s struggles at the position, got their answer on Sunday.

Cook’s NFL debut didn’t turn out to be some miraculous story of an undrafted rookie (and third-stringer) coming in to save his team from further humiliation in yet another lost season. Instead, he went 14-of-30 for 163 yards and two interceptions in the 34-10 loss to the Dolphins at MetLife Stadium.
