Severe weather warnings are in place across the UK this week as the Britain braces for another storm. The weather disruption has been officially named Storm Bram by the Irish Meteorological Service ahead of it arriving in Ireland and the UK.

Met Éireann stated they had been monitoring the storm system for a number of days now, and made the decision to name it, classifying it as an official storm . The storm has been named due to the effect of the strong winds on coastal areas in Ireland at times of high tide, and the heavy rain falling on already saturated ground, all of which increases flood risk.
