Northumbria Police has issued an update after a pedestrian suffered a head injury after being hit by a car in Sunderland . At around 7.30pm on Saturday, December 6, a man in his 40s was the victim of a collision with the vehicle.
The crash took place on the crossroads of Southwick Road and Newcastle Road, and this area was attended by the emergency services soon after, with eyewitnesses saying that there was a large police presence at the scene.
