Bethel Sonrise church in Chandler was this quarter’s recipient for HBC Roofing’s charitable roof rescue initiative.

Mesa business HBC Roofing contractors donated their time, labor and materials to replace a roof at the church which had was leaking and too damaged to simply patch. They spent a day and a half tearing apart the old roof, adding new underlayment and putting on a new roofing system. The estimated value of the roof replacement was $5,500, according to a release.

The work was part of the company’s Phoenix Roof Rescue Initiative where each quarter the Mesa company sets aside 3% of its total revenue to help community members with essential roof repairs.
