The Tripura Pradesh Congress on Monday held a protest rally in Agartala and symbolically burned copies of the draft Seed Bill 2025 and Electricity Bill 2025, accusing the Central government of pushing legislations that “favour corporates at the cost of common people.”
Tripura Congress president Asish Kumar Saha alleged that the value of the Indian rupee continues to decline while the government prioritises corporate profit over public welfare.
He said both proposed Bills are “anti-farmer and anti-people,” prompting the Congress and the INDIA bloc to raise objections in Parliament and launch nationwide protests demanding their withdrawal.
