A woman who smashed her way out of her flat window then whacked her neighbour with a hammer when he came out to see what was going on. Natalie Stephens, 37, swung the hammer from over her head and into the victim’s eye, causing him injuries that required hospital treatment.
A sentencing at Cardiff Crown Court on Monday heard how Stephens has a history of substance misuse and had been mentally unwell at the time of the incident. The defendant was heard saying “bless him” as a prosecutor read out the victim’s personal statement.
