WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas — Authorities safely located an 8-year-old Williamson County girl on Saturday after she was reported missing the previous day . In an update Monday, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office said two people -including the girl’s mother- were arrested in connection with her disappearance.

The case was initially reported as a runaway by the mother, 43-year-old Cailin Doyle, but investigators described her account as “suspicious and questionable.” Multiple agencies, including the Sam Bass Fire Department, assisted in a large-scale search.

Investigators later determined Doyle and an associate, Karinna Robertson, allegedly conspired to hide the child to avoid an existing shared custody agreement between Doyle and the girl’s father. Authorities said the false report pro
