A trainee aircraft crashed into a 33 kV high-voltage power line in Aamgaon, Seoni district, Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred at around 6:30 pm, injuring trainer pilot Ajit Anthony and trainee pilot Ashok Chawda. Both have been reported to be out of danger.
According to initial information, the trainee aircraft had taken off from the Suktara airstrip and was preparing to land when the accident occurred. While approaching Badalpar substation, the aircraft’s wing struck the lower section of a 33 kV high-voltage line. The impact caused a loud explosion, followed by sparks from the electric wires. Moments later, the aircraft crashed into a nearby field. Fortunately, the power line tripped immediately, preventing a potentially major disaster.
