A fatal shooting in a Harrisburg neighborhood on Sunday is believed to have been a suicide, police said.

The shooting was reported Sunday afternoon on Balm Street, in the city’s Allison Hill neighborhood. The Dauphin County Coroner’s Office was dispatched.

The investigation is ongoing, police said, but evidence at the scene suggested the man’s wounds appeared to be self-inflicted.

No other information was released. PennLive does not identify victims of suicide.
