ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. —
A man accused of sexually assaulting a girl in Anderson County, South Carolina, has been indicted by a federal grand jury, according to the Department of Justice.
Ricky Dean Clinton, 40, was arrested in North Carolina in August for a warrant out of Anderson County. During the arrest, Clinton shot at authorities and in turn they shot back at him, injuring him.
The August arrest was for a charge of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor. after authorities say Clinton had an inappropriate relationship with a teenage girl in Honea Path in May.
On Monday, the DOJ announced federal charges for Clinton.
