POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) - The Poplar Bluff mayor has responded after the city manager announces he’ll take a leave of absence.
Poplar Bluff City Manager Robert Knodell released a statement Monday through a communications company based in Columbia, Missouri, saying he is taking leave for medical and personal reasons.
In the statement, he admitted to driving after drinking alcohol back in October and announced he is taking a period of leave from his duties with the city.
Mayor Shane Cornman released this statement on Monday in response:
“Robert Knodell has taken responsibility for his actions and has sought medical treatment. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family as he focuses on his health and recovery.
