A fundraising effort, titled the Healing Begins at The Bridge Capital Campaign, has been officially launched. “Generous donations to the project have been secured over the past 18 months, and we are well on our way to raising $10 million for a new home for our agency,” said Shelly Bohannon, executive director of The Bridge Children's Advocacy Center.
According to the agency's website , they have raised 72% of their goal so far.
The new building will accommodate expanded medical and mental health services for Texas Panhandle children experiencing abuse, including co-housing space for the Amarillo Police Department's Special Victims Unit and Child Protection Investigators.
