KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Knoxville Police Department is searching for 33-year-old Job Alvarado-Lainez after a man was found dead outside of a home in the 1900 block of McCalla Avenue around 8 a.m. Saturday.
When officers arrived at the home, the man was found in the backyard, dead from a gunshot wound, according to KPD. Alvarado-Lainez reportedly left the scene of the shooting in a Dodge truck that was later found abandoned on Wimpole Avenue, KPD said.
Based on preliminary findings from the KPD Homicide Unit, it is believed that the victim was shot by another man following a physical altercation.
Alvarado-Lainez already has charges for unlawful weapon possession.
