Plans to redevelop the site of the former Gaslight District Diner on Elm Street in Manchester as a six-story, mixed-use building with 40 apartments now include accommodations to ensure a nearby advertising billboard remains visible.
Coral 516 Elm LLC bought the property at 516 Elm St. for $1.5 million in August 2024. The diner closed its doors on May 25.
Fuss and O’Neill has submitted a site plan application for a six-story multi-use building that includes up to 7,875 square feet of commercial space on the first floor and residential units on the upper floors.
“It's commercial on the first floor,” Brian Pratt, an engineer wih Fuss and O’Neill, told Planning Board members. “This will be likely a restaurant, but it could be up to two multi-tenants depending on who wants to occupy it.”
