NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WLNE) — One person was hospitalized after a crash on Route 140 in New Bedford Monday morning, according to the New Bedford Fire Department.

Firefighters responded to Route 140 North around 6:30 a.m. for a crash involving one vehicle.

Crews found the sole occupant of the vehicle trapped inside and used Hurst e-draulic cutters and spreaders to free them.

The patient was taken to St. Luke’s hospital.

No word on their condition.
