PARROTSVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Residents in Parrotsville are asking for help from their state officials to improve the safety of one of their intersections.

Fire Lieutenant Caleb Henry said the community has had enough of people getting hurt and losing their lives at the location.

“As a community here, we’re tired of losing people. We’re tired of people getting hurt. And we’re just asking for the state to help,” Henry said.

Highway 321 and Highway 340 is the intersection that people in the community are worried about, according to a recent petition that was made after another car accident happened on Dec. 6.

Former Fire Chief Kenny Trenum was killed in a car accident at that intersection last year.
